Haha, that's right where William (2.5) goes during school some days that he just cannot be contained, or if he's in a horrible mood and won't stop screaming. I always try my best to calm him and occupy him and sometimes we break from school if he really needs his mama time, but it's not always possible. Renee- I did that yesterday and guess what happened? He learned how to climb out of the crib for the first time. I'm in trouble!!!

Well, maybe I should have said "possible", not easy. You can't live with kids in a tent or CPS could take your kids away. Not to mention that a tent is not a secure environment for children, nor does it provide a proper kitchen for nutritional purposes. There are not "always options". If that were true, poor people would exercise those options and not be poor anymore, trust me. Being poor sucks.

Actually, you can. I learned last week from a discussion at Cub Scouts re: a homeless child that CPS will not take a child away, even if he or she is homeless. Living in a tent would be considered trying to provide for that child. I thought it was strange. And sad. And even more sad for the child near us that doesn't have a home.

I do not think that FireWifeJess was trying to puch anything on you. But belifes are things everyone is Passionate about no mater what you do or do not belive in, and when one talks about things they are Passionate about they spill their heart as they see it. I have on several occations had people try their hardest to push their religion on me (as I do not belive in God) and I have become very good at deturing them polightly if they are being polite and in no way do I think FWJ was going there, she was just speeking from her heart as she sees and feels!

Except her "feeling" is to dictate to me that I was created by her deity, knowing full well that I don't share those religious beliefs. That is indeed without a doubt forcing her religion onto me. No, it's not breaking into my home with a gun or whatever, but it is a matter of degree.

That's hilarious! Mine sit in the nest boxes purring like kittens while I stroke them and talk to them! Poor Princess! She has been trying to lay an egg since 10am! She was in the nest boxes for over an hour at that time, during which Tilda came and sat on her and laid her egg. She left. Then Lucy sat on Princess and laid her egg. She left. Then Martha came and sat on her and she finally left the nest without laying her egg. Poor princess is acting very upset out there right now; I hope she finally has the box all to herself!

My daughter learned how to do that when she was one. She just about drove me crazy!!! Her twin brother, on the other hand, got to be in baby jail, as needed, until he was closer to three.
