She got more pullets from me and the Partridge Cochin cockerel.

Now I am making my GF bread.....and gonna start working on this painting I keep saying I am gonna finish, and keep getting distracted.

CR you are welcome to this epi pen...........expires in 12/2012 but I get 3 more before that so will give ya another fresh one.
I do not think it wise to carry around an expired one, may not work!

I would mail one to you but got no transportation...and cannot walk far either.
I am out of some of my meds (2 days ago) and cannot get to town to get them....................so cannot help get the epi pen to ya.

DH is very busy fixing all sorts of stuff on our house in CA, from faucets to oven knob, to holes, screws in sheet rock & then have to paint & fix the 4" gash in the bamboo flooring we found out the jerk shot off a pistol in the house & it hit the floor.......crapola !!!
What an idiot.
Then he used auto paint to paint a bunch of stuff in the art studio & got paint all over the shelves & linoleum................jerk !!!!
The list is endless...it is gonna be a long while til DH gets back here !
AND WHY silly girly didn't you ask Shyla to help you get meds.
I would drive down and take ya but we are preparing to leave very early in the morning.

IS there ANYBODY that can help CL get to town for her meds????

My white Leghorn is limping.  She is sitting a lot, still eating and drinking like normal.  When standing she holds her leg up.  No visible injuries or sores, no redness, no black spot on the bottom.  Do I just wait and see if she gets any better?  She was not limping yesterday, and I don't *think* she was limping this morning.  I saw her around noon'ish and I noticed she was acting strange, but I couldn't investigate right then.  Help!  She's my favorite hen!

first inspect and make sure of no physical damage other then limping....
If all else is ok let her stay with the flock as long as she keeps eating and drinking ok.

most likely cause of a limp is just landing wrong off a perch or roost or etc..... Goliath was young and so big he landed wrong and limped for a couple weeks before he stopped... he still runs like a 2 legged horse galloping but thats just him being a goof! :D

Just like people they can strain muscles while landing in tight quarters

**dang it... i wrote this last night and never posted.... doh!

I'm Back. Any of the old crew out there right now?

I am gonna see if I can stay on here now without crying. It has been a tough road, but I have chickens once more in the backyard, and want to connect a bit.

Shout out to Rustler, and Lady, who I know are here.

Sure wish I still drove. I would help her in a heart beat. She has done a lot for me with feed. I love to drive, and would really have enjoyed the trip. Drat.

Russ. Did you watch the video? I ask you that because the comment I made about gmail ads was just a small part of where it was leading to.

Watch the video and see what he discovered about his FB pages friends. When FB gets involved with politics it has crossed the line.
I don't do FB but if I did I'd be so mad steam be coming out my ears.
Because someone thinks different than I do doesn't mean I don't want to hear from them and have their comments erased from my page.

Look at the google searches done. This isn't hearsay he has the results on the screen.

Just the other day I was helping my brother out over the phone with a computer problem and said ok lets go to google and do a search for a video. We both put in same name to the letter.
We both got different search results on the same first page. I thought my brother was nuts. By the time that happened I was already frustrated and then when he tells me I don't see what you are talking about it all makes sense now after watching that video.

When people aren't seeing both sides of the coin due to others decisions that becomes a dangerous path which a lot of this country is already walking down due to the limited media outlets they get their info from.

A web search customized for you by topics you tend to click on, complete with adds that follow you around! That can give you a very skewed view of the world. I agree with your analysis.

I think it is a very informative video. I suspect political organizations must have access to the data as well. My husband is somewhere on the left-wing tips, he is on political blogs all the time, and donates significantly to politicians. I am somewhere in the middle, and tend to vote by issues rather than party with more votes going to the left, but not always. I never donate to campaigns because I am disgusted with how much money influences who gets elected. I click on the politicians websites, to read and find out what is important to them rather than believe the inflammatory e-mails people stuff in my inbox. DH gets tons of political mail by USPS asking for donations, all from Democrats. I get only about 1/4th as much donation solicitation mail as he does from many political parties, but mostly the republicans.

If aviaries, Keen sandals, and hawaiian vacation rentals can alll follow me from web site to web site, I'm sure campaigns must have the same capabilities.

So often I've thought about just having Silkies. And a Frizzle or two. They are adorable. I have one Silkie and she is such a dependable layer. Small eggs but perfect. FAbulous personality. If I do, I'll ask Robin to hatch me some babies! I am NOT going to start hatching. Really, I am NOT going down that road.....
I'm sure your friends here can enable you.

I had planned to keep chicken math under control by not owning a bator and completely avoiding the hatching egg temptation. Then I got a great loaner!

However, I have that tiny Serama who's laying a few times a week and my newest adult Catdance Silkie laying at least every other day here in the computer room. So I'm using their tiny eggs for scrambling or baking. Couldn't be any fresher - just a few steps from my kitchen! What a strange life I'm living these days...
For those of us who cook smaller portions, banty eggs are also perfect for splitting recipes that call for eggs.

Your auction basket sounds wonderful, Dana. I would certainly bid on it!
And I would love to see pictures of your new Silkie too.
