Well, I can see I am going to have to come in here more often, or abandon the thought of catching up.

Tonight I just want to say thanks for the WELCOME BACKS from old friends.I am having a bit more difficulty lately with my communication and interaction with people. So you may not hear from me for gaps of time. But I love all of you old friends very much.

I wonder if there is anything like that on the harbor? How did you come to find them?


Oh, I don't think I mentioned my new dog. She is now a 9 month old White Boxer, and she is deaf. Her name is Olga Moon and I love her soooo much. She is a holy terror and drives me more insane than I was.

Edited to add... I think today is Day 17. It could be 18. I'm not sure. They were set on September 23 - and I can't remember what time of day.

I honestly would not worry about it. We opened ours every other day and weighed every egg. You've barely opened yours.

Sept 23rd was a Sunday. You might expect your first hatch as early as Saturday.

Three days for lockdown would be Thursday, Friday, Saturday. So your lockdown should be tomorrow.

If I was in your position, I'd open it tonight or tomorrow morning, fill both reservoirs, stop & remove the auto turner and then leave it be.

All this talk about rats yesterday (and there really is an outbreak; heavy mast on the oak trees pretty much puts paid to the idea of starving them out, too) and I was awakened at 4:30 by one gnawing at the wall next to the head of the bed; I know where it is, because there's dust coming in at the phone jack, so today I have to move furniture so I can get to that side of the problem with hardware cloth and expando foam, and then move a heavy cast-iron kitchen sink on legs that I use as a potting table (or did, before the great force of Everybody But Me filled it with random junk and then ignored it every time they've gone to the dump, even when told to get it) so I can block the outside access. I have plenty of hardware cloth, but no expando foam, so the person who kept me awake by snoring (after I shined light on the dusty spot and the rat ran away) is going to have to make a run to HD or Freddies before he goes to work.

All of that before I take on my long list of getting-ready-for-rain chores, since the Hired Hand moved her day from tomorrow until next week since it was the only time she could make an appointment to get her new tattoo shaded.

As the Internetes are prone to say, FML.

That is a geat picture! Such a cute dog.

Thanks! He lived on the streets in Taiwan until he was three months old, so he's still skittish around new people at age two, but he's getting better. Absolute sweetest, smartest, most loyal, most obedient dog I've ever had, though, towards us.

well lets see, yes that is an interesting dog, I'm partial to brindles, ( I like it more in Boxers tho) LOL!

This is when I first got him in may, I think he was only about 7 weeks, some jerk lady dropped him off by my friends house in Toppenish @ 5 am and my friend said she heard a little kids voice crying NO mommy NO!!

This is with his "coonie" He loved that thing!! a little too much actually cause he chewed the ears off!! so yea, no more coonie!!
I'll get pics of him tomorrow, he's a cone head right now, I knew it, usually most dogs don't have a problem with a neuter, unless they are already notorious lickers, he is like a cat! so yea, I made sure we came home with one, and I knew it, the minute he was put in his kennel and I took my eyes off him he was licking!! so he go the cone!!!

OMG, how adorable! Can't wait to see the new pics! He almost looks like he might have a little Formosan Mountain Dog (aka Taiwan Dog) in him. Our mutt is probably at least half Formosan; he looks just like the pics of purebreds, but his mom (with whom he was found living on the streets) doesn't look like one, though she probably has some in her as most dogs in Taiwan do.

WhooooHooooo Grandma!!! You raised some fertile Myrtles or the boys are potent.

Gary's kids: 4 girls, 2 of which are non-identical twins.
Funny he had so many girls......but the grandkids are all boys but 1 girl !
5 grandbaby boys so far, 1 girl.
I have one of each sex so far...we are waiting on the bun in the oven.
