We finally got our chicken coop ready after giving our flock away 3yrs ago. My 12 or old granddaughter wants us to start our flock back up. I had health problems and gave my flock away . There was 4 wasp nests we got rid of by spraying them then knocking nests down. We washed the coop n run out well. Let it dry good and put pine chips in the coop. I noticed that wasps were coming back. How do I keep them from building more nests inside the coop n run? Any help would be greatly appreciated. We have gotten 5 mix breed dominicker/ Rhode island red cross around 18 weeks old pullets. Now that they are in the coop/enclosed run im not sure how to keep them out.
Any help i would be grateful.

If you spray just plain old soapy water into their nests, it kills them. If you see a nest being built, just whip out the spray bottle and hose em' down! The soap is toxic to them.

Take a cup of gasoline and throw it on their nest. Any you hit will drop like a stone and any that are close to hatching will try to escape but the gas kills them in seconds. The gas evaporates in minutes so there is no fire hazard.
