I have wasps inside my duck coop. Since I have a severe allergy to wasp stings, this is a problem for me. I have been able to control/discourage the wasps around house (window and door frames, siding joints) using a spray of peppermint oil, water and dish soap. The peppermint smell is strong. Would this be safe to use inside the coop? I was thinking I would let the ducks out in the morning and spray when they are not there. The smell lingers but only really strong when first applied. Any comments or other suggestions would be welcome.

If it's still a small nest get a shot vac with an extension and suck them all up! Then stuff some papertowel in the exhaust hole and the suction end to stop them from coming out. Make sure you do it fast! Or have someone else do it that's not allergic!

If it's a large nest I would get experienced help.

I won’t say you definitely should or not, but I have excellent luck with CRC brand brake clean, get it at the local auto parts, it evaporates fast and doesn’t leave surface residue, I would get any of their “stuff” out of the way first, then clean out the bedding after but I would feel safer with that than any sort of pesticide in that application
