Wasting Oyster Shells and Grit

    CalgaryFarmer Chillin' With My Peeps

    I accidently dropped some scratch in my buckets of oyster shells and grit. Now the hens toss the grit and oyster shells out of their trays hunting for the goodies.

    It's not really wasted. It will get consumed as they scratch through the dirt.

    I am sure you are right. I cannot see much evidence of it on the floor of the coop after a couple of days.
