Oogedy boogedy, here we go
watchers.png

Now here's a few more rules before we begin:
- Try to fill out as much of the form as you can. I don't need a paragraph, but more than like 2 generic words for their personality.
- Please try to have good grammar and put at least some effort into your posts.
- Do not begin roleplaying a character until I approve of their form.
- Ask for permission before time-skipping.
- Do not kill other characters without the other player's consent (you can PM)
- Do not make your characters OP or Mary Sues. They must look realistic too (no rainbow cats).
- Please limit yourself to up to 2-3 Learner characters (apprentices). Each clan should only have around 3-4 and they tend to be the most commonly made.
- You may use this Watchers concept for personal use but you may not use any cats from the RP that do not belong to you.
- HAVE FUN!!
:)

To create a cat, fill out this form--you may create up to 5 cats to start off.
Name:
Clan:
Age: (you can just use years or a rough estimate for adults)
Rank:
Gender:
Appearance:
Personality:
Extra notes: (backstory, mentor/apprentice, family etc)
Clan Alley; clever and swift. Clan Bobcat; charismatic and powerful. Clan Starlight; thoughtful and enduring. Which Clan will you join??
These three Clans make up the Watchers, a group of nomadic cats whose mission is to discover their niche in the harsh and cruel world they call home. Each Clan has its own area of expertise and curiosity: For Clan Alley, it is the world of humans. For Clan Bobcat, it is the expansive wilderness of the northeastern US. And for Starlight, it is the patterns of stars created by their ancestors to guide them. For generations these Clans have lived in harmony, sharing their knowledge with one another until the fire nation attacked until the corruption of the leader of Clan Starlight was revealed. Clan Starlight's leader, known as the Prophet, was the most high-ranking cat of all 3 Clans. Now, with the Prophet driven into exile, the Watchers are beginning to lose their trust in their ancestors and their past. Skirmishes have begun to break out between the 3 Clans over who has the best methods of survival. But amidst the fray, a new Prophet emerges, one who claims to have received a vision. In the vision, the Ancestors gave him a prophecy, that went like this: "One will rise above them all. The other two are bound to fall." Of course, all of the Watchers have erupted over this prophecy. As they journey back to the Core, the meeting place for all the Clans, each cat must brace themselves for war.

The Watchers' culture is kind of similar to Warrior Cats, but with a few key differences. Most obvious is the fact that these cats are nomads. They travel in groups of 10-15 per Clan, making long journeys to learn about different ways of life, although how far they travel depends on the Clan. Clan Alley tends to travel shorter distances through towns and cities in search of creative and useful Human artifacts, while Clan Starlight may travel miles upon miles following the constellations. And Clan Bobcat will follow migrating animals or stay in one location to observe the local wildlife’s survival and hunting techniques.
Another aspect that is different is the Clans' alliances. They are never really enemies or rivals, but rather factions. Once a kit reaches 8 moons of age, they are able to choose which Clan they would like to join based on their personality and interests.
Once a Learner joins a Clan, they have a similar apprentice ceremony to the Warrior clans. They are promoted by their new Clan leader and given a responsible Watcher as a mentor. However, a Learner will also receive a scar on their forehead from their leader as a sign of their acceptance and permanent loyalty to said Clan. Medicine cats and Leaders/Prophets will also receive scars to remind them of their responsibilities and duties.
watcher scars.png

The naming systems of the Watchers are also different. A Watcher's name usually consists of 2 words, ex. Cloud Dancer or Silver Leaf. However, the names have to make sense, for example, Hawk Frost is too random and not an acceptable name. The name can also be related to something found in a town or city if the cat's parents were from Clan Alley, ex. Shattered Brick. Cats' nicknames are often shortened versions of their full names.

The ranks among each Clan are quite similar to Warrior clans. There is a Clan Leader (or a Prophet for Clan Starlight), a Deputy, a Medicine Cat and their Learning Medic, Watchers, Learners, Nurse-Mothers, Kits, and Elders.
Though each Clan travels far and wide, they all have a central meeting place known as the Core. They meet at the Core every autumn and keep camp, remaining there until spring, when they head out into the world once again. Their mission? Find a solution to their problem: Where do we fit in? How can we survive best? And how can we rise above the rest?

Is it missing a teaser or something too? I imagine that’s part of the WIP)

Name: Feather Head (is that acceptable? It’s accurate...)
An alternate name would be Moon Face. Or Moon Glow if we want to be boring.
Clan: Starlight. She doesn’t really have the gravity for this clan but she looks the part and thought it suited her.
Age: (you can just use years or a rough estimate for adults) 13 moons
Rank: Watcher
Gender: Female
Appearance:
5BA8BD6D-2168-4B5F-889E-B20560A1EDEF.jpeg

A slender-framed cat with long graceful legs and a shiny long white pelt. She has black fur on the top of her head and ears and huge, beautiful tilted almond-shaped bright blue eyes with an unfortunate crosseyed look which removes any majestic air she would have retained after speaking less than a sentence.
Personality: Ditzy, stupid, short attention span. She really tries all the “fancy star mapping stuff” and wants to be involved and in the attention of her tribe mates. But in the middle of a very deep astronomy session you’ll suddenly hear a giggle or something will come out of her mouth like a dumb question and that is never good. Only once in history has something that came out of her mouth sounded intelligent and she ruined it immediately afterwards.
Extra notes: (backstory, mentor/apprentice, family etc)
for your convenience I have extracted the one deep thing she ever said, with much pain as I had to see everything else
“When I look at the stars, I feel really small. Like maybe they’re little spotlights for every cat on this earth. You get one twinkling moment of life to shine and then it’s someone else's turn. You matter, but only a little bit. Just enough to make your little difference without getting in the way of someone else.
Hehe, but that’s just silly. What’s a spotlight anyways?”
Was a young house kitten seeking adventure and purpose in this world.

Name: Water Fall
Clan: Bobcat
Age: (you can just use years or a rough estimate for adults) 9 years
Rank: Watcher
Gender: male
Appearance:
2B66CF51-1A3A-4683-8359-F3E224F12F3C.jpeg

Heh I didn’t check back with the scar chart with this one apparently whoever was Bobcat leader when he was an apprentice only had three claws hahaha... A blue cat with green eyes. Shaggy, owlish face with protuding eyebrows and a short, bearded muzzle with a permanent frown. Huge, in both floof and substance. Would beat most cats a fight simply due to his superior mass. A terrifying sight to behold.
Personality: A constant grump. This senior Watcher is very respected and if you don’t respect him, you will soon. Not afraid to discipline, or to teach. Woe to the cat who is mentored by he. Grunts if you make a mistake, pressuring you not to. Other than that, a superb teacher and few can beat this vetran fighter.
Extra notes: (backstory, mentor/apprentice, family etc) Has been documented in attempting to fight at least one wolf the clan had foolishly been trailing that he foolishly brought his apprentice way too closely. It snapped the poor young cat in its jaws but Water distracted it enough with his reckless fighting techniques that the poor cat got free with only a few bites and thereafter a small infection. Water did not get off so easily and walks with a slight limp now.
Whenever he puts his apprentices into questionable situations, he says, “I haven’t lost an apprentice yet and I don’t aim to now.” It sounds less cool when I repeat it though.

Name: Red Flag
Clan: Alley
Age: (you can just use years or a rough estimate for adults) 14 months
Rank: watcher
Gender: M
Appearance:
F5F0FB24-4DD9-4D89-AA7E-E552987C2B54.jpeg

Slim, tuxedo, exceedingly handsome, yellow eyes. Big ears, constant sly grin, long legs.
Personality: He’s a red flag. Has a really saccharine voice and is charismatic and handsome but seriously don’t date him. I honestly don’t know how to play this monster or whether he’ll live up to his reputation so we’ll just leave it at that maybe he’ll be all boring and minor.
Extra notes: (backstory, mentor/apprentice, family etc) Mysteriously emerged from an alley one day as a very young cat. Probably some garbage that conglomerated into the ultimate alley cat. If he had actual parents he would probably have some semblance of a soul.

Name: Smooth Pebble (Pebble for short)
Clan: Bobcat
Age: 24 moons
Rank: watcher
Gender: F
Appearance: she is a tabby cat with orange fur and dark orange stripes. She has vivid green eyes.
Personality: She is a good hunter and aggressive towards other cats who aren’t in her clan, even though she shouldn’t be she is anyway.
Extra notes: she was bought as a kitten and then she turned aggressive and they abandoned her next to the animal shelter (I almost wrote RSPCA coz that’s ours in AU) she ran away and found her way to the clan.

All accepted. Amer this is why I love having you in my RPs, your forms are always so well filled out and you are all great at making characters (unlike the RPers on the other site lol). ;o; Although I forgot to mention that Learners become watchers closer to 24 moons, so if you want to keep your cats as watchers I would age them up. :) Thanks!

Blue Moon closed his eyes and felt a familiar sharp slicing pain on his forehead, and then the thick red blood dripping down his face. But he did not wince the way he did when he was still a child.
His eyelids filled with white spots, and then, there was his mother standing before him, her figure opaque and covered in glittering silver stars.
"You have earned the Enlightenment Scar," she said, gazing at the cross that reached from the top of his head to the bridge of his nose, and cut across his eye pips. "A great achievement that many will only dream of. The truest symbol of a leader. A Prophet."
"Why did you trust her?" Blue Moon nearly cut her off, his words steady yet full of anger. "It makes me wonder, sometimes, if I could trust you."
"We are no different from you, my dear Watcher. We only watch what we can see."
"Swan Feather slaughtered my children, mother."
"We can't read minds, Blue Moon. We didn't know what she would become." Grief filled his mothers eyes. "But I watched. I saw everything."
Blue Moon took a deep breath, forcing back memories. "No one trusted her. Now, no one trusts you, and no one trusts me. There will be fighting, there will be war, even. No, no one believes the stars anymore."
"I feel it." His mother closed her eyes, the muscles of her pale face straining. "Two are bound to fall, but One will rise above them all."
Blue Moon could feel his paws begin to slip as if in sand pulled by the tide.
"One will rise."
He woke up in the grove of small hemlocks again, his medicine cat's paw resting on his head. When she pulled back her paw he could see it was dripping with fresh blood.

Name: Freckle Nose (Nickname Speck)
Clan: Alley
Age: 14 months
Rank: Learner
Gender: Female
Appearance: A very petite, smoky grey cat with long fur and tortoiseshell patterns on her chest, haunches, and right back leg. She's got a white stripe under her chin and sharp yellow eyes. Her slightly dappled pattern helps her completely disappear into shadows, and she's quick and stealthy. Her tail was broken in a freak accident when she was only a few weeks old, and when it healed it was bent, causing it to never grow to its full length. She's also got a freckle in the middle of her nose, which gave her her name.
Personality: Sweet, kinda shifty, still playful like a kitten when around friends. She loves making friends and is very friendly. She's also very dependable and trustworthy if she likes you, and she's a very hard worker. She's also stubborn; when she puts her mind to something she's going to succeed, no matter how hard it is.
Extra notes: She was born in Clan Starlight but disliked the seriousness of it all and thought that her abilities were better put to use in Clan Alley. Plus they seemed like they had more fun (she still has bouts of homesickness, though). She's proud of both her stealth and (despite her small size) wrestling abilities and is always working to improve.

I think I’ll just let Featherhead be a learner then and age Red Flag up to 28 moons.
