...or, stuck on the top of the garage and wishing I could get down.

Climbed to the roof to patch a few leaks. But the ladder...she fall down.
Brief thoughts about jumping, but the roof, it is quite high and I am quite
old.

So I set on the top and watched the world drive by.

Waiting on help.

After about an hour and a half wasted, the trashman came. So I yelled and
yelled my little head off untill he heard me.

He saved me!

My wife thought this was quite funny when I told her. However, I saw no
humor in it ...

I am so sorry.

Me too!

I don't climb on a roof any more. Last time I thought I'd help clean gutters, I got up and couldn't get back down. Took over an hour to "talk myself down". Too old and brittle for that!!!

some of us are getting older and we need to come up with something more safer for us to clean gutters. Why in the heck do we need gutters? I can see putting water in citerns but at this day, they no longer in use in the city limits.

Can we just put some kind of rocks or pathways where the water will fall off from the roofs and divert the water elsewhere. Is it REALLY necessary to have gutters?
