Water at night?

I keep water and food in my coop 24/7. They really don't drink or eat at night, but if they wake up b4 I get out to let them out then I know they have it available.

I live in a mild climate, so they only sleep in the coop (and lay eggs). I get them out of there at daybreak and they decide when to roost for the night.

So, they have food and water in the run only. I remove all food at night.

When they turn 6 weeks, that is. The younger chicks have food and water 24/7.

If I lived in a cold climate I would definitely put it in the coop.

I provide mine with water and food 24/7 inside and outside the coop. I keep a small one gallon waterer in the coop and a 3 gallon waterer outside. My coop is 4' x 6' x 5' so I try to keep the feeder/waterer on the small side. Everyone seems happy though...we haven't hit the heat of summer here in South Carolina though...
