I am thinking with the eggs for sale sign, the neighbors wouldn't have to report you. Are you allowed to have chickens where you live?

Yes, I'm allowed. I did a lot of research before I entered this adventure.

Actually, the sign just says, "Fresh Eggs."

So glad you passed your inspection. Really hope you have no further neighbor troubles. You keeping roos? I had a comment made by my one neighbor but i could laugh cuz we are related.

He may have just been genuinely interested in your chickens. Once my landlord at my old house came for an inspection. I had quail eggs in a bator and he (normally a mean guy) got all excited and he asked my mom "Is that still or forced air? Is she turning the eggs?" etc. Apparently he was a bird enthusiast.
