Water fount or bowl?

I heard you should clean out your water dish every day, but my fount doesn't run out of water for about 3 days. Should I still rinse and give them fresh water every day?

For a while I was very diligent about cleaning out the water fount for my hens, rinsing it daily and doing a more thorough cleaning about once a week. I started noticing that every time I would spill a little water onto the ground the hens would totally ignore the fount until they had gobbled up every last bit of the water on the ground. It's to the point now that they come running when I fill the fount - not for the clean water, but for any little drop I might spill! So yeah, I think chicken owners are a lot more worried about the cleanliness of the water than the chickens are.
