should the summer waterer be different than the winter waterer? weather is humid and waterer is in an area in the coop where it gets moldy due to humidity.

It doesn't need to be scrubbed out in winter nearly as much as summer. I just keep and scrubby sponge or brush and a bottle of dish washing liquid near my water source and clean it every time I fill them up.

The water doesn't get moldy because of humidity......it gets moldy because there are mold spores floating in the air and they find the water and grow there.

Or If you have mold growing on your coop walls, increasing ventilation and moving the waterer outside, or keep it from leaking might help discourage it.
