Water Glassing? - Oops...double posted

I just watched a video on egg glassing to preserve eggs for 8-12 months using water and hydrated lime. Has anyone here ever tried it before?

I haven’t but I have seen that video and I am curious about it since I have an excess amount of eggs and as much as I’d love to keep sharing with neighbors I also know my chickens stop laying for 3-4 months in winter and I personally like to give them time off since I feel God made them stop laying for specific reasons and they also need their day of rest (or months of rest in their case).
