Water in incubator

Hi all, I have a little giant bator and was wondering how often water had to be added, and how much does it hurt to open the top to add it? Thanks for all your help

Ohhh, forgot to ask, does it hurt if you get water on the eggs while adding to the bator? I feel like such a dummy:/

Well I have been adding water everyfew days ,if the humidity goes down.
I open my bator a few times a day to turn the eggs real fast.
no getting water on the egg should not hurt it.

Try to avoid getting water on the eggs especially if it is cooler than the egg. I have the Hova Bator and have to add water 1/2 to 3/4 cup every two days.
