I have water kefir and Kombucha tea going in a continuous brew. I'm thinking of giving some to my chickens. Has anyone here ever tried water kefir for their chickens? I'm also thinking of throwing them my older scobys. Does anyone else do this? With the continuous brew, my Scobys get huge and thick. I've heard of people cutting them up and drying them for dog treats. I wonder if the chickens would like them, too.

I feed mine water kefir (usually when I've let it go too long for my tatse) they love it. I figured it was about the same as giving them yogurt.

never tried, but I do put my ACV scobys in my smoothies. They are certainly healthy for me. In any case a scoby is just a huge shot of probiotics.

Great! My kefir grains are growing like crazy. Now I know I can share them with the birds, lol.

I have some baby chicks, has anyone given their chicks any kombucha? I thought about adding a little to their water like ACV, or should I just stick with the bragg's?

You could try giving it to them in a separate dish. I gave some kombucha tea to my hens yesterday. They didn't seem to like it. I'm going to try with the chicks tomorrow.
