water (liquid) from the beak?

i have a one week old turkey chick, every time i pick it up, it expels water ( clear liquid) from the beak. Whats teh deal? it seems healthy otherwise, perfectly normal. WHat is it doing?

Any ideas?

Sometimes if a bird's crop is full of water it will come back out through the beak if the bird gets upset or the crop is squeezed.

I don't have turkey but all my ducklings done this.

Yeah, just be careful not to squeeze your poults crop when you pick him up. If it is fright that is causing it he will get over that the more you work with him.
