Water nipple question.

Hey all, got a question about the horizontal water nipples. I've had them for roughly a year at this point, and I've had no problems whatsoever. But my mom says the birds aren't getting enough water and that they're not working, but I poke and wiggle them like the birds do and they seem to work fine. Anyone else have a similar issue? My birds always make a beeline straight towards the pond we have out back and drink out of it for about a minute and then carry on. Thanks.

If they weren't working your chickens would've died roughly a year ago.

They do prefer open sources of water, which is why they're hustling to the pond.
