water nipples on the SIDE of bucket ?

I have quite a few very nice water nipples that are meant to be mounted horizontal. They have a little "protrusion" for the bottom of the beak. Anyone think of any reason I can't put them on the side of a water bucket near the bottom ? Thanks !

Yes, you can place them on the side of a bucket or really any container. Just be sure to leave enough room that you can still set it down flat and don't have to hang it, if that's how you plan to use is.
