Water Nipples

I have super flow and other (much longer design and higher quality). I purchased them on Ebay. Unfortunately, I can't find the higher quality one on sale now. The super flow is junk because it leaking, and the rubber seal just torn when install.

Hi! I got a few nipples from FarmTek and made 2 of the 5 gallon waterers. They are just the plain push in variety. I have been thrilled with them and have since ordered more! I made a smaller waterer for the brooder, and hung several more smaller waterers all around the run. They don't seem to leak, or if they do, it isn't much. The water stays clean and is easy to keep cool in the summer. I just put a frozen 2 ltr bottle of water in each bucket every afternoon and the water stays cool until the next afternoon. In winter (I'm in the south, so winter is more entertainment than a true winter), only the water on the top freezes and the bottom stays liquid so I haven't needed a heater of any kind. Good luck!

Hi Mudd,

I bought the red plastic nipples that thread in. I also used 4" PVC for my water reservoir. Have had real good luck with this outfit. I've gone a complete year using this method. As I'm in NW PA. I found that an aquarium heater took care of the nipples not freezing up this past winter. I can't actually speak on the effectiveness of the other nipples as these seem to fill the bill (beak) for me.

Tony
