Two weeks ago I brought my juvenile (~3 months) chickies to their new home. One is several weeks younger and came from a different pen (B.C. Maran), two were slightly different sizes but in the same pen, the (buff orpie girls). Anyway the smaller Orpie came with a little sneeze but i kept an eye on it and sure enough it lingered, got worse, and is still around...
*Bedding, coarse flake from tsc.
*Chickens are free to roam in fully fenced area most of the day.
*Were on medicated start and grow but switched to organic while treating flock for coccidosis with liquid CORID because there were some bloody poos. (In final days of the post treatment dose now.)
*Saw a roundworm in their water dish so treated with Safeguard paste and that is completed now. Except for the little orpie.. whom i decided to do the 5 day "gape worm treatment" for. Which today is the final day of.
*VetRx fwiw, on the chicken in question and youngest chick (maran).
*The maran has some nose crust but is otherwise fit as a fiddle.
Now. The smaller orpie in question is the only one with these consistent symptoms...
*Water poo (liquid gel appearance) or liquidy slightly foamy green poo.
*Sneeze
*Rattles and wheezes
*Gaping
*feathers look bad
*more lethargic yesterday and today
*reduced appetite today and seems fairly thirsty.
*no discharges from nose, eyes, etc.
Im thinking there is definitely something i still need to buy to solve this problem.. but what?
I appreciate all your help and advice!
