I just built a pen and coop from wood taken off our 1920's house when we remodeled. Do you think it would be ok to treat the wood with Thompson's water seal? It should be a few weeks before I place any birds in it.

Most likely your chickens wont die, but chemicals are not good for chicks or people. Read the label on the Thompsons can and see what precautions are there. I know paint dries and peeps paint their coops all the time to make look good or preserve the wood. Letting the stuff dry a while is a good idea. WISHING YOU BEST.

And are those twins?????? or is it photoshop LOL

Good choice. Thompson's water seal is not worth a darn anyway. Only lasts about 6 months and weather's away.
