Water temps!

They say you are to have the chicks first water at like 98 degrees or ?? How do you measure the temps of the water that you give them?

I usually run my brooder for 24 hours before the chicks come in so I just put the water in a few hours before arrival is expected and it warms up with just the brooder temps. I've never had a problem. As for estimating water temps, most people like to shower at about 100 degrees so if the water feels good for stepping in for a hot shower it is probably around there somewhere.
