Water turns green

Is their anything safe I can add to my water, so it will not turn green. I guess I should say not turn my water bucket green.
 
I just keep mine completely out of the sun and that helps keep the water cool in the summer also.

Other people on here do add stuff so they can tell you about that.

I use 1-2 tablespoons per gallon.
 
Yes you do want to keep your waterers out of the sun and that along with ACV will help, but good cleaning practices are the most preventitive. Clean very well in a dilluted bleach solution rinse well do this twice a week and you will have algea free waterers.
