Water Wells vs Water Dish

Many people claim that they can control their humidity better in their incubator by using a dish of water inside their incubator instead of the water wells. I'm curious as to which you prefer and why you prefer it.

I like water wells that are under the hatching tray in my incubator. I also use evaporation pads along with a humidity water pump in the lid of my incubator.

I like these because there is no open water that hatched chicks could get to. Therefore eliminating the chance of drowning.
