Waterbeds

Have you taken away all other water sources? I just tapped a nipple with ny finger to get their attention a few times, they had it figured out in about 20 minutes. Key thing is it needs to be only water source

No I left 1 waterer thought it was to warm to not have access to water
I keep tapping the nipple and they just keep drinking what drops on the ground :/
So,I'll take away the water and keep trying!
Thanks

Make sure u do the switch ag a time u can watch then for a while. They will be fine without water for a few hours, but u do want them to figure it out. So make it the only water source and then every 10 minutes or so draw ther attention to it until they figure it out.

I just only recently converted to the Bright-tap water system using vertical nipples. My chickens range in age from two months to seven years.

I first showed one of the leading chickens the nipples by flicking it so water came out. It intrigued her curiosity and she gave it a try. She quickly lost interest, but I left them all to discover it on their own in their own good time.

I removed all other waterers of the old variety. Within three or four days, I noticed all of the chickens were using it, the oldest and the youngest being the very last to come on board.

If you remove the old waterers, they will discover the water in the new ones. They will not die of thirst.
