I got these feeder/waterers and set them up today. Will the chickens just instinctively know how to get their water?

Probably so, but if not you can lead one of them over to it and then the rest will catch on.

You may have to "show" them if they're used to the water based ones .... Tap on the metal stem when they're watching. Keep an eye on them, once one gets it the rest will follow.
