Waterfront farms: journal of a small Virginia farm

The first thing was build a pole shed from cedar trees cut here. Then picked out a nice doublewide with 3 bedrooms 2 baths and a fireplace. Had the land cleared for the house, well drilled, and septic tank. Hooked up electric next. Then gravelled drive and put in culvert pipes at street and creek in front of house.

I had lived in the city due to divorce and financial reasons for a couple of years. I really missed growing my own food and having chickens so i built a coop and got 4 Dominique chickens and a pair on bantam games. I then got my Dad's old tiller running and made a garden for myself.
