I just bought a few of these by BAFX Brands on e-bay for my 2 week old Cochin hens and some mixed breed males. Wow what a difference in my cleaning chores! The hens picked it up within 5 minutes, they are so curious. The males took about half an hour, but now the pecking order is in full evidence, as one of my largest males guards "his" nipple with a vengeance.
I put a couple of layers of cheesecloth over the top so no debris will fall inside, but the chicks love pecking at it, they get clean water and I have no mess to clean up!
