Watering cups question.

So I have watering cups I use for the girls but every other day there is a layer of algae at the bottom that I have to clean. How do I keep that from happening or is there better ideas? Thanks!
 
Nevermind. I tried scrolling through previous posts and found some solutions. Thanks anyway!
