Watering Device - need some advise!

I was given a watering device from a friend that raises quail. He said he had some friends that have used this for chickens. We aren't sure how to get them to "see" the nipples on the bottom.

Any advise?

here's another shot. I put a plastic lid down below it to let some water drop down thinking they'd notice the source.

I switched mine and it took them a little while to get it about a week. My chicks are super friendly and will come look at any thing I tap on. I would tap it a bunch of times and let them come see it. Once one figures it out they will all get it. I left their old waterer in until I saw the majority of them using the nipple waterer. good luck.

Looks like one of them figured it out today, we'll take a look again tomorrow!

Hope all worked out. I also switched over and used a small laser to make them pick at the nipple. They love that laser.

They figured it out; but I really like the laser idea. What fun!!
