Best thing that I have every made for my flock. A used tire toured into a water trough by cutting off one of the side walls.

This may not apply.... Don't know how big the tire is.... If you find any baby birds drowned in it... add a ramp of sorts for them to use to climb out... It's law here for cattle watering troughs... too many quail drown from lack of a way to get out....
