watering nipples....... HELP!!!!!!

BEFORE I GLUE THE PVC PIPE, CAN A WATERING NIPPLE BE POINTED SOMEWHAT STREIGHT UP TO 30 DEGREES AND STILL WORK??????? THANKS

if the nipple part is pointed up than it will leak becasue the valive needs to have no pressure on it to not leak. If its pointed up it will leak unless there is enough water pressure to keep the metal "valive" pushed up it will drip/spray. just by the pressure of the metal tip pushing on it.
