Watering Quail

At what age do you need to go from the small chick waterer to a larger one? Don't want them to get wet or drown. They are two weeks old now. Thanks

At a week or two they should be fine.

Mine keep the small one until they can't drink out of it, less mess that way.

Corturnix be fine at 2 weeks, other type of quail wait till 4 weeks.

I'm going to X3 this one, but coturnix are never to old to drink from the little game chick fount. I just move mine on to my network standard pop bottle water founts (That can be mounted above vent level) and to wire bottom pens.

No matter how large or small the coturnix...they seam to have a problem deciding if it's a drinking fountain, or a toilet.

X4 Double quote the "...have a problem deciding if it's a drinking fountain, or a toilet." but less problem of that type with the little game fonts.

Mine use the rabbit water bottles or pop bottle waterers when they won't freeze in 10 minutes

These silly birds seem to think the rabbit waterers are a shower most of the time.
