Wattle change color on my rooster

So I have this beautiful 2 month old bared rock rooster who is a mommas boy...always comes to me and if another rooster is bugging him he jumps right up in my arms well I noticed that when he it's on me his wattles (beard) turns a much lighter shade of red. ...almost pinkish. ..then when he jumps down it goes back to bright red....what does that mean when it changes color?

It might be a sign of submission or affection. Aggressive roosters have bright combs and wattles, so maybe one that is being friendly dulls down.

He sounds like a sweet boy.

He is a very sweet boy. I hope by continuing to hold him that he will stay that way
