Penny Marshall my blue laced red wyandotte. Penny's time on this earth was relatively short- but for those who knew her she was a friend to all. This is her hatch day celebration in the Spring of last year!

Bouncy, my EE looks at me with her good eye. Her other eye was blinded by a very mean rooster who is now no longer with us. It took me a week to heal her, so now she waits for me day and night to hold her and give her sweet chicken hugs. If she's lucky, some days I have time to let her take a nap on my lap. Once she was the queen of the flock, but now has been cast as far down as a hen can go. However, when I'm around, she feels like a queen again and knows that no one will hurt her.

this is Percy he is our prettiest boy, he might be not that great of a rooster, at the bottom of ever pecking order known to man, and bullied even by his sisters but i love him nonetheless

Hearing all of these stories how people rescued a special bird or worked through a health challenge is such a positive light in the chicken world. I find it lovely to read these special stories and relationships
