Hi, everyone --

I'm new to raising chicks, sort of. I actually had chickens 5 years ago, which I raised on my farm instead of at my house because they were illegal at home. Now I'm starting over again at my house -- they're still illegal, but I really miss them and want some fresh eggs. I'll be posting some questions that I have in the appropriate forums.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join our flock. If you are determined to have chickens in an area that prohibits them, I would strongly advise you to limit the number to a few hens and avoid pouring a lot of money into your flock. The odds are that sooner or later some cranky neighbor is going to report you and you will have to get rid of them. ( Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in keeping your chickens.
