So waxworms, are they okay for quail ? I'm assuming they are since mealworms seem fine but just in case someone knows somthing I don't or have exp doing it, I would love to hear it

Well no answers so o gave them all some lol they like them more then the worms they didnt want the norm or mini worms,

When I worked at a pet store many years ago, the owner told people wax worms were better, and especially for small animals like small frogs and lizards. Idk if this is accurate, they cost more, so he might have been greedy, but no one came back saying their pets died from them.

I don't know about feeding them to quail. But they do have a higher fat content than mealworms so I'd feed sparingly.

Turns out they love them my coturnix and my buttons, they want nothing to do with the mini worms or big worms lol

Did a little Google search on wax worms, they kinda look like maggots. So it's a no no for me. :sick But if you want to feed them as a treat, why not.
They do, but I’m person they don’t look so wet and gross as maggots. They are my preferred feeder worm to handle because I find them the least repulsive. Sort of like naked caterpillars.
