Waxworms?

We always have waxworms and mealworms on hand for the geckos. Are the waxworms safe for chickens? How old should my chicks be before I give them some?

I have read that waxworms are fine (even choice) for chickens. I don't think they are as popular because they are not as easy to grow as the mealworms are. You can feed mealworms (and presumably) waxworms to any age chick, just make sure they have some chick-sized grit to go with it.
