Hi,

I'm so excited to join this site! My husband and I have 4 daughters, aged 11, 8, 5, and 3. We moved in November to a mini farm and couldn't wait to get started raising chickens! Our mixed flock of 16 is currently 8 weeks old, so we have a lot to learn, but I've also read a ton of books and done a lot of online research! This site has been a huge help!

I think that is great raising your children with pets such as chickens. They are a great learning experience.
