This little guy or gal was found by a friend wandering in a restaurant parking lot. It was given to us since we have chickens. It is about a week old (my nearest guess) I bought four other chicks so it wouldn't be lonely and will intergrate better with my flock when they grow out. I am wondering if anyone can ID the breed and possibly the sex.

I think its to early to tell the sex. Maybe its one of those columbian rock crosses? Post a pic of its wing spread out so you can see all the feathers.

I think it a columbian rock cross but never mind about its wing, that's not going to help. Post again when its at least 3 or 4 weeks old. Your friend did a good job rescuing it!

Thank you. If it had parents with certain feather traits it should be a pullet... I think? I don't know much about feather sexing.

Comb developent will be be your best bet at sexing this little one. Post at 6-8 weeks for identification. For breed, will be hard to tell. If it has a rosecomb could very well be a columbian wyandotte. Good that you took this little one in.
