Wazine 17 substitutes?

Thank you for the replies. I can try the dose by chicken on the bread. It will be a challenge for 1 hen because she will not hand feed and she is hard to catch. This is the reason I wanted to do it in the water. Are you using a specific type of the Safeguard?
You can put that hen in a cage at night, then give her the bread in the morning.

I like the bread idea. That I can probably manage.
I am curious, do others routinely deworm the flock? I have had chickens for years and never dewormed. I would like to know what others do. Thank you for the advice.

@dawg does but he lives in Florida.
I live in MO and rarely deworm because it is cold half the year.
It is primarily those who live in warm moist climates that need to worm on a schedule.

I learned real quick about wormer soaked bread a long time ago. Some birds eat it, some dont. Others steal it from one another and you never know which ones got wormed or not. That's if the bread doesnt fall apart first.

Bread has been working pretty good for me so far. I’ve got some seedy bread that all of my chickens love. The roosters are the hardest, they especially have to be isolated or they’ll just give theirs away.

Another question. For my 5lb hen, looks like my vet prescribed .6 cc once a day for 5 days to be repeated after 10 days. The drug is Fenbendazole 100mg/ml. Not sure if this concentration is the same as the Safeguard for goats solution. Any thoughts? I would prefer to get this over the counter if I can. My vet charged me 25$ for a tiny bottle.
