I am confused with the rations/dosage of wazine-17, it says 1 pint treats 1600 birds and I have 17. Do I just give them a full 3 gal waterer with wazine-17 and just do it once and then be done? And how long do I need to wait to start eating eggs, and does it cause permanent egg withdrawel?

Wazine dose is 1 ounce to one gallon of water. If you have multiple waterers, mix them the same. Have the water available first thing in the morning when you let them out, so they are thirsty and will drink the water. Medicated water should be the only water available for 24 hours. After 24 hours dump it. Bottle says to retreat in 30 days. Most recommendations on here will be to retreat with another wormer, like valbazen or safeguard, in 10 days. Wazine only works on large roundworms, the others are more broad spectrum and will work on most worms. Administering in drinking water is dependent on them drinking enough, I prefer direct dose medications rather than water mixed so I know they got the correct dose. General recommendations are a two week withdrawl for eggs after treatment, Wazine label I believe says not to be used in hens for egg production. Many ignore withdrawl recommedations, you will need to do that which you are comfortable with. Most wormers are used off label in chickens, one has been currently approved for chickens which has the same ingredient as safeguard (fenbendazole), it's safeguard aquasol, and it's very expensive.
