My chickens have roundworms and the vet recommended Wazine17. How long do I give them the Wazine17 in their water and when can we start eating the eggs, again? Thank you.

Do you have Wazine 17 or did you get some from the vet? It's been discontinued and when you can find it it's rather expensive. If you don't have any then you are probably going to have to use Safeguard liquid goat wormer or Valbazen. The Safeguard is usually easy to find, Valbazen you would probably have to order. Those are direct dose to each bird rather than mixed in water. The only water soluble one is Safeguard Aquasol, which again is VERY expensive. Safeguard goat wormer and Valbazen will run you between $20-$30 depending on where you get it.

Safeguard has a zero day egg withdrawal when treating large roundworms and cecal worms, use that instead. This will tell you how to use it.

If you do decide to use Wazine, I think it's 1 ounce per gallon, then once again in 10 days. The withdrawal time is usually two weeks past the last treatment, so no eggs for 24 days.
