Hi there!

Quite a time I was not online. Now we got a new rooster and I have a question, I am pretty sure, here are some people who can help me.
I had to cull this year some chickens, because a breeder sold me not quite healthy girls. I am so sorry for them, hoped to have them longer.
We already have a normal rooster ( no idea what kind of breed), a second Araucana rooster ( but with scissor beak, not good for making babies) and now the new one ( Name Haku) a Aseel-Araucana mix. The mother is Aseel and the father the Araucana. My question:

I know that rooster give ther gen for the egg color. But what happens, when the mother was not a color laying egg hen. Will Haku give white gen to the next generation?
I read so many about the gen issue, but only found more or less explaination about "pure breeds".

I hope everybody is well in this crazy time.

Muchas gracías from Tenerife!

I am guessing if his father was pure araucana that he would carry one blue egg gene, so half his female offspring should have the blue gene also, but this may be modified by brown depending on the hens he is mated with to a green egg. I suspect you'll get a real mix off egg layers out of him.
