We are Ducky

I will do so. I am not sure this is the issue, however. One of my females, the oldest (I have three generations, she is from the second, the drake who is sick is the first,) is beginning to show similar symptoms (stumbling, slow gait.) I am feeding them more peas, hopefully that will help. We have had a lot of wet weather lately, which may have something to do with this, and we are expecting a stretch of drier weather for the next couple of weeks.
Yay for dryer weather. !! Well, if you’re feeding peas, you can put the liquid B complex with the peas, but really not too many peas because they need the nutrition from their feed . peas aren’t having all the things ducks needs. There are some highly experienced people on here that say no treats at all.. only the feed,.. and your poultry will be much healthier. Like @Kiki

Welcome. What part of the country are you in? Could they have heat stress issues?
Northern Alabama. We have not broken 100 F yet, but will probably next week. Our weather is usually fairly mild for the deep South. My ducks have ample access to water, they have a pond and stream in their pen, and during the day I usually let them out and they have another pond to swim in. Their pen is in the shade, in fact a large tulip poplar supports the aviary netting over the pen.
hey (me again) another very good duck feed (the best imo) is Mazuri waterfowl maintenance. It floats and ducks love to eat it right out of water. I toss some in water buckets.

Sad news. Al, the old Drake, died yesterday morning. I discussed his illness with a vet online, and he suggested with all the wet weather and some of the feed getting wet and moldy that it might have been mycotoxins that made him sick. I am going to be much more vigilant about water getting into the feed. I am also going to get some more duck-specific feed and supplement with oyster shell. One thing I haven't mentioned is that for some reason the females have stopped laying. This is odd for the summer. I had not made much of this, as frankly, it was a bother to collect the eggs as no one in our family likes to eat them (my daughter seems to be allergic to duck eggs.)

oh no I am so sorry to hear this. You are doing the best you can for your precious birds, sometimes crappy things just happen. Thanks for the reminder. I have to keep an eye on my feed to. It's been very humid here in Maryland.
