We are getting our hatching eggs on Monday!!! Update they are here!!

I'm so excited. I just got the call that our quail eggs have shipped. They should arrive on Monday. We have chickens and recently got some 3 day old chicks.
Then hubby and my stepson decided they want to hatch some quail. We got a Hoverbator Genesis all set up with an automatic turner with the quail egg inserts.
I also got 2 Springfield hygrometers and we are calibrating them now.

15 Coturnix and 15 Texas A&M. Figured these would be an easier test bunch for the first go around. If all goes well, we can get more eggs of let some of the Coturnix lay.

Ill be putting a batch of gamble eggs in a second incubator on monday too!! but yours will probably hatch sooner since gambles take much longer to hatch than coturnix do.

Eggs arrived. They threw in an extra 6 to give us 3 dozen. All arrived unbroken.

The shipping list stated that the extra eggs could be any type of quail. I'm assuming they at least put in ones with a similar incubation time.

We let them sit at room temperature for 3 hours and then put them in the bator. Just checked it and it reads 99 degrees and 50% humidity.

That is using the pre-sets from the company and filling the small well in the plastic liner with water.

This is our first hatch attempt.
