We are getting some two toned eggs

I know it’s not a “problem”. I’m just curious about what causes it and if it’ll continue or if it’s just a temporary glitch. We have probably gotten 5-6 like this (assuming from the same pullet) over the last few weeks

It happens, the pigment isn't distributed properly. Pretty common with new layers.

It should even out over time
Nothing to worry about, just a hen learning how to produce and lay eggs.

No, it’s a just a new layer so it’s a little smaller than normal and my hands are larger than normal so it looks very small.

Might smooth out in time, or she may always lay like that.
