I believe you put them on their side, but I'm not sure if you can hatch them vertically. @FortCluck would know the answer to your question.Thank you! Quick question...should I leave on their pointy end (Air sac at the top) or lay them on their side?
Oh! So we went into lockdown yesterday which was day 18...i didn't see any internal pips on candling so do I need to candle again?at lockdown you place them on the side, I candle on day 18 and mark the location of the internal pip so that place is facing up and I can watch for the external pip at that location.
Good luck with your hatch!!!!!!!!
They could hatch vertically, but I think most of us usually lay them on their sides at lockdown. I believe it’s easier to push out of the egg that way.I believe you put them on their side, but I'm not sure if you can hatch them vertically. @FortCluck would know the answer to your question.
You can candle whenever you feel the need to before day 18, but I wouldn’t candle much after day 18 unless you see a problem. It’s all new to you so the less you touch them at lockdown the better.Oh!
