We are looking for an English Mastiff to adopt

Yes, we rescue Mastiffs and there is no other breed that can compare in my eyes. And I absolutely love the drool because it cracks me up to see hubby's reaction every single time!! Lol I chose EMs for their laid back personalities, which fit me and my house perfectly.

I did look at rescues and it really is hard to find one that is good with kids, dogs, cats, chickens and strangers. I've done informal rescues (BYB females who can no longer carry puppies and need homes, safety, love and medical care) with great luck for personality but horrible for finances and short amount of time with them. Most have heartworm, arthritis, cancer and other illnesses that are the reasons they can no longer breed. Hospice care does not bother me except the heartbreak.

For all these reasons we decided to get a puppy this time!! Once she is acclimated and mature I will go back to hospice care for these poor mamas. But I just couldn't take another heartbreak so soon.

Thank you everyone for the ideas and links!! I'll have to update with a pic this weekend when we pick her up! Two day trip for us. It was so important for me to find a breeder I am comfortable with. One who breeds for Mastiff preservation and improvement and not just financial gains. Kinda hard to find those nowadays.
