We did it! Now what?

Or you could have just used the pre-fab coop as a brooder. Easily done. And they are pretty handy to have around if you need a warm, dark place for an injured or sick chicken too! You can reinforce the hardware, and if you put it somewhere sheltered with a fresh coat of water resistant paint it should hold up for awhile.

Just throw some wire over top- attach to some cardboard or cut out the middle of the lid and attach on the top (so they couldn't be injured by hitting any sharp wires).

As for the coops, look into extending the run at some point.

Try finding a large cardboard box. As your grocer if they have a melon box, or attach two or three together.

You might ask friends/family (or even a store) if they've have any large appliance boxes you can have. Even your upgrade will soon be way too small. Maybe add a branch of a small tunnel for them to play in and on.

And have fun with them!

I think I've found a solution! Having a Standard Poodle helps, right???

That will work really well for awhile! Throw some cardboard on the in sides held with zip-tie if they kick too much litter out :)
